Alejandro Sarmiento & Luján Cambariere

Alejandro Sarmiento, born in General Villegas, Argentina, 1959; Luján Cambariere, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1971; live and work in Buenos Aires, Argentina

The Satorilab workshops are collective practices, negating ego and individual authorship. We see design as a tool, rather than as a fashion or style, and in countries such as Argentina, with few major industries or technologies, establishing new links between design professionals and vulnerable populations or communities of artisans can be of great benefit to all. We are interested in raising awareness of the amount of waste material that can be repurposed into new designs, and we strive to go one step further to create an increased sense of awareness of these virtually invisible populations.
